Think:

Which is better: if a Muslim dies while he is mentioning Allah's name and/or reciting from the Qur'an? or if Allah takes the soul of a non-Muslim spy while he is spying?

Which is better: if a Muslim dies while he is praying to Allah? or if a person dies while he is playing football/soccer

Which is better: if a Muslim dies while he is giving an Islamic speech for Allah's sake? or if a non-Muslim dies while performing on stage?

Which is better: if a Muslim dies coming home from the mosque/masjid? or if a Muslim dies coming home from a nightclub?

Which is better: if a Muslim dies after doing ablution? or if a Muslim dies after watching dirty movies?

Which is better: if a Muslim leader/governor dies and people remember all his good and notable deeds? or if a non-Muslim tyrant/dictator dies and the majority of people remember his tyranny and evil actions against innocent civilians?

1) From the time you were born until now, this year, try to enumerate or count the number of people you have hurt or insulted or fought with, even if you can't name them all, try to mention at least some.

(for example: when I was in nursery/kindergarten, I remembering doing this...

when I was in grade 1, I remember doing this...

when I was in grade 2, I remember doing this...

when I was in grade 3, I remember doing this...

when I was in grade 4, I remember doing this...

when I was in grade 5, I remember doing this...

when I was in grade 6, I remember doing this...

when I was in high school, I remember doing this...

when I was in college, I remember doing this...

when I graduated or when I got married, I remember doing this...

etc.)

2) For every one of those people you have hurt or fought with, ask yourself how many times have you insulted them.

3) How many of those whom you have hurt have you apologized/said sorry to, or mentioned them in your supplications/prayers/du'as to compensate for your wrongdoing or misbehavior.

4) Count the times or moments you wasted on watching movies and satellite/cable channels, listening to music, playing games, chatting about things that don't concern you, and 'doing nothing'. Estimate how many times have you prayed to Allah, supplicated to Allah, cried to Allah, asked from Allah, helped a Muslim, taught something you know about your religion Islam, shared Islamic knowledge, read the Qur'an, taught someone how to read the Qur'an and other good deeds. Which is more: the times you spent on wrongdoing, or the times you spent doing good deeds that please Allah.

5) If you were to die right now, at this very moment, as you are reading this text, if Allah took your soul right now while you are using the computer, do you think you would meet God (Allah) while He is pleased with you (because you have many good deeds and Muslims who can witness that you were a good Muslim) or while He is displeased with you?
